Henry Disston - Very Early Handsaw
One of the earliest saw made by Henry Disston.
We can assume that it was made in early 1840s, when Henry didn't
even have his medallion made. Instead, he used blank
medallion, often used by very early English sawmakers.
Apple handle with one blank medallion and three split nut
Henry Disston stamp.
The nib on this saw is cut with sharp angles.
The saw from the
Jim Bode collection
